SRA Board meetings in 2016

The Board of Somerset Rivers Authority met six times in 2016.

Below are brief details of all SRA Board meetings in 2016.

Subjects at the SRA Board meeting on 10 February 2016 included Somerset's natural environment, landowners, and improvements to the River Sowy & King's Sedgemoor Drain.

Subjects at the SRA Board meeting on 23 March 2016 included the SRA's budget and programmes of works for 2016/17, and proposed governance arrangements.

Subjects at the SRA Board meeting on 20 April 2016 included the SRA's revised Memorandum of Understanding & Constitution and revised Urban Water Management workstream.

Subjects at the SRA Board meeting on 20 June 2016 included future funding of the SRA and the Government's proposals for precepting legislation.

Subjects at the SRA Board meeting on 27 July 2016 included the ways in which SRA precepting legislation could progress through Parliament, SRA scrutiny arrangements, dredging trials, Bridgwater Tidal Barrier and the development of means to prioritise future SRA work.

Subjects at the SRA Board meeting on 26 October 2016 included the A303 near Ilchester, Building Local Resilience, Land Management, Urban Water Management, dredging strategy, Bridgwater Tidal Barrier, Taunton Strategic Flood Alleviation Improvements Scheme and the Sowy/King's Sedgemoor Drain project.
