SRA Annual Report 2025-26: Chard Reservoir
The SRA part-funded a Somerset Council scheme to improve Chard Reservoir and help protect up to 1,000 properties from its potential to flood if the reservoir failed.
Works were completed in 2025.
They included building a ‘wave wall’ along one section of the reservoir to prevent overtopping, reinforcing the reservoir’s stilling basin, and landscaping.
