Somerset Rivers Authority Board meetings in 2017
The SRA Board met five times in 2017.

The SRA Board meeting on 16 January 2017 was an extra meeting called to discuss the Sowy/King’s Sedgemoor Drain (KSD) enhancements scheme, and the approach to developing the SRA’s Enhanced Programme of works for 2017-18.
The SRA Board meeting on 8 February 2017 included reviews and revisions of the SRA’s Workstream 6 (Assessing the flood risk long-term choices and options for a sustainable future) and Workstream 4 (Resilient Infrastructure), the SRA’s Enhanced Programme of works for 2017-18, extra funding for highways flooding referrals in West Somerset, Quarter 3 performance reports, and the usual updates on key projects: Taunton Strategic Flood Alleviation Improvements Scheme, Bridgwater Tidal Barrier, Dredging Strategy and plans, and Sowy/KSD (funding plan).
The SRA Board meeting on 13 March 2017 included decisions on the SRA’s budget and Enhanced Programme of works for 2017-18, and an update on the Sowy/KSD project.
The SRA Board meeting on 21 July 2017 included funding requests for the development of a Strategic Approach to Mitigation and extra costs of de-silting the Cripps River and Hixham Rhyne, the usual updates on key projects and precepting legislation, the review and revision of Workstream 1 (Dredging and River Management), dredging Oath to Burrowbridge and the publication of the SRA’s End of Year Report 2016-17.
The SRA Board meeting on 20 October 2017 included the usual key project updates, the SRA’s Half Year Progress Report 2017-18, and a request for extra funding for flood alert systems at three locations (the A359 Yeovil to Sparkford road near Mudford, Wrantage and Bradford-on-Tone).
