Item 3: Minutes of the SRA Board meeting on 23 July July 2021

The minutes were agreed as a true and accurate record of the meeting.

Item 5: Quarter One 2021-22 SRA Finance Report

As recommended, the SRA Board:

  • Noted the financial performance as at the end of Quarter One of 2021-22.
  • Approved the reallocation of funds to contingency as per Part Two.

Item 6: Key Project Updates

Item 6a: Bridgwater Tidal Barrier

As recommended, the SRA Board:

  • Noted that HM Treasury has approved the Outline Business Case for the project.

Item 6b: River Sowy-King’s Sedgemoor Drain (KSD) Enhancements Scheme

As recommended, the SRA Board:

  • Noted that works are underway on channel improvements.
  • Noted that the works contract completion will be subject to weather experienced in the autumn.

Item 6c: Mitigation Action Plan

As recommended, the SRA Board:

  • Noted the latest position with the Mitigation Action Plan (MAP) project.
  • Acknowledged further mitigation actions will be required to fully deliver the
    MAP.
  • Noted the risk of non-delivery of the MAP.

Item 7: Defra Environmental Land Management (ELM) Test and Trial

As recommended, the SRA Board:

  • Noted progress made in delivering the Environmental Land Management (ELM) Test and Trial project.
  • Endorsed the proposed change to the delivery methodology of this project.

Item 8: River Brue

As recommended, the SRA Board:

  • Noted the latest position in relation to progressing the aspiration to undertake dredging on the River Brue.
  • Approved the proposed next steps.

Item 9: 2022-23 SRA Enhanced Programme

As recommended, the SRA Board:

  • Noted the latest position in relation to proposals for the 2022-23 SRA Enhanced Programme of works.
