When the Hills to Levels project got through to the finals of the UK River Prize 2018, this is the video that helped it win.
It showcases some of the project’s successes, and summarises its achievements.
The video is introduced by Joanna Uglow of FWAG SW, and features her colleague Dr Sabine McEwan, Dr John Phillips of the Environment Agency and Brompton Ralph farmer John Elliott.
It’s the 13th in a series about natural flood management techniques being used across Somerset.
Somerset Rivers Authority has been one of the main backers of Hills to Levels since 2015, initially using Growth Deal money from the Heart of the SW Local Enterprise Partnership and, more recently, council tax and contributions from Somerset’s Internal Drainage Boards.
Works for the SRA’s strand of Hills to Levels are designed and delivered by FWAG SouthWest, working in partnership with farmers, landowners and a range of local contractors.
The video was filmed by Watershed PR and South West Drone Images, and edited by Watershed PR.
